Recognizing a Decade of Service and Impact

After over a decade of dedicated service on CFTH’s board of directors, Doug Foshee – Chairman and CEO of Sallyport Investments – has stepped down, leaving a remarkable legacy of dedication and compassion.

Throughout his tenure, Doug played a pivotal role in strengthening relationships between CFTH and local stakeholders, helping to foster partnerships and secure necessary resources to further our mission. Doug’s experience and perspective as a business leader also brought an important aspect to our work. He understood the importance of strategic planning and long-term solutions, and contributed to discussions that helped us focus on both immediate support for those experiencing homelessness as well as sustainable, systemic changes to prevent it.

Doug worked alongside other board members, community leaders, and advocates to ensure that our system’s programs and initiatives were effective, inclusive, and compassionate. While he was not always in the spotlight, his impact is felt throughout CFTH and in the lives of those we serve. Doug’s contributions helped ensure that we continued to make meaningful progress toward our mission of making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring in our region.

As Doug transitions off the board, the entire CFTH team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for his dedication and service.

Doug, thank you for your service and unwavering support in our work. We wish you all the best in the next chapter of your journey.

“For over twenty years, Doug Foshee has been dedicated to transforming the landscape of homelessness in Houston. I’ve seen Doug bring the highest levels of focus and discipline to this work, always mindful that the ultimate goal is to change lives. While there is still work to be done, Houston has become a national model for effectively and compassionately addressing homelessness. That would not have happened without Doug Foshee.”
